Camping and rafting go hand-in-hand, which is why we offer several overnight camping and rafting trips in Colorado.
Our Upper Colorado overnight trip is great for young families, 4 is the minimum age, and guests that want a more relaxing float down the rapids. Once we’ve wrapped up lunch we’ll hit the rapids through Little Gore Canyon for the afternoon. As the day continues to fade we’ll make camp at one of our riverside campsites along the river. While we’re making you a dinner to cure your belly grumbles, you’re free to cast a line in the water, hike nearby, or simply relax.
The next morning we’ll get on the river for some more fun, after breakfast of course. We’ll continue to float down the river until lunchtime when we’ll make our final stop. There’s a short hike nearby that holds ancient dinosaur tracks, which themselves are a once in a lifetime experience.
Back on the river, we’ll finish the day with 5 miles of Class II rapids at State Bridge.
Join us on our Browns Canyon National Monument overnight trip if you want some more time on the river and bigger rapids. Right after lunch we’ll launch from the town of Buena Vista where we’ll immediately hit the classic rapids of Beaver Falls and the Silver Bullet (Class III). The rapids don’t stop there: they shoot you straight down to Browns Canyon, where we’ll make camp for the night.
We’ll feed you a big dinner of fajitas with chips, salsa, and dessert to make sure no one gets hangry after a big day.
The next day we’ll make you some french toast and pair it with bacon and fresh fruit. It might sound like a big meal, but you’ll need it to keep energized when we hit the Zoom Floom, The Staircase, and Sidells Suckholes, all classic rapids.
When lunchtime comes around we’ll have our famous cheese tortellini ready to serve up to you alongside the river. Afterwards we’ll run a few more rapids before taking out at Stone Bridge.
Much like eating ice cream on a warm summer’s day, camping and rafting just go together. And we make it a fun couple of days that you and your friends will be talking about for years to come!
