Why Choose KODI Rafting?

It’s important to choose the right whitewater rafting company on your Colorado vacation this summer. You want to be sure they have the right raft trip for your group or family, provide the highest level of safety and training, and are conveniently located and easy to get to. With over 30 raft trips on six Colorado rivers, and rafting outposts throughout the state, KODI is an excellent choice for family fun.

Life Jackets and helmetsKODI Rafting has been navigating Colorado’s rivers since 1986. We have grown since that time but still prefer to maintain that personal touch you get when you choose a small-town business. We like to call this “KODI Family Values”, which have roots dating back to before 1986. Several different Colorado natives found beauty and enjoyment in rafting and kayaking on Colorado’s rivers; the Arkansas River, the Blue River through the old town of Dillon (which is under Lake Dillon now), and on the Colorado River and Clear Creek.  These individuals worked diligently to make KODI Rafting what it is today by sharing the river experience with their own loved-ones and KODI guests, making them part of the “KODI Family”.

McGrath Family – Present

Family owned and operated by Dave and Amy McGrath. The duo grew up in small farming communities and are graduates of Kansas State University. They have been rafting together since 2002 and while they have taken many river trips cross the United States, there is a special place in their hearts for the rivers in Colorado and the beauty that surrounds them. Together they share a passion for the river and are excited to pass the KODI Family legacy on to their two children.

Safety & Training…

Campy and Christy Campton 2001-2015

As a KODI Rafting guest, your safety is by far our #1 concern. Training in a dynamic environment such as the river is crucial to who we are and the experiences we offer. Our training staff has over 50 years of combined experience that they have passed along to all of our river guides. KODI also incorporates Swiftwater Rescue training into our continuing guide education – which is something very few rafting outfitters are able to do. We have the privilege of offering these courses through Sawatch Rescue, owned and operated by one of our founding KODI Family members.
